I have a strong scientific background, being a biologist with a Ph.D.. My focus over a long period of my life has been spirituality and a deep longing to combine spirituality and science. My interest in spirituality started in the beginning of the 70s. At that time my focus was on reading, yoga and Transcendental Meditation. In the 80s I felt quite lost in my search for spirituality. I was still reading a lot, but my searching for answers outside myself did not give me what I needed and longed for.

In 1990 my first wife died from cancer after being married for 23 years. The deep pain forced me to look inside of myself and to realize that in order to evolve I had to include feeling instead of following my mind only. I shifted from a mental study of spiritual techniques to a path of self-discovery. I shifted from thinking to experiencing, from the masculine approach to the feminine approach.

I started to study healing techniques for both myself and others. In this phase the techniques were less important, it was all about experiencing: What do I feel, what do they feel. I only studied a technique when I felt that it resonated with me. This changed me a significantly. During this process I developed problems at work. In 1992 I came to the point that I no longer could function as a manager in a “normal job”. I was diagnosed “burnt-out” and left the job. Suddenly I could use all my time for my path of self-discovery and for studying Earth energies and healing techniques.

As the saying goes “Once a scientist always a scientist” for sure applied to me. My interest soon went to the study of a science that I gave the name Metaphysical Ecology. I define this as the study of the relationship between the subtle energies of the human system and those of our environment. I am referring to the interaction of our bio-electromagnetic field with the electromagnetic fields in our environment. These fields are mainly those of the Earth and cosmos, but also from our fellow men, animals, plants and rocks, the angels and Beings from other dimensions.

These studies have helped me to understand the human energy system better. More than 10 years of giving personal healing sessions and counseling have increased my knowledge and understanding considerably. Such as how our belief structures, emotions and thoughts are influencing our energy and thus our health.

I also have learned much more about Earth energies, especially about lines and vortexes, and how they have an effect on human beings. I discovered how these energies can help us to heal ourselves and to expand our consciousness.

In this period I also connected deeply with crystals and crystal skulls. This may seem to be an unrelated subject. However, crystals and crystal skulls have a direct influence on our energy system as well. They can be used both for healing and expansion of consciousness.

I apply all the  information and results from my research in my work with people. I use it in my healing sessions, in my counseling sessions, in my vortex-tours, in my work as a workshop facilitator and in my lectures. In all these activities I guide people to see their belief structures and the associated emotions and thoughts. I help them to become aware of the physical or energetic effects and help them to release the resulting blockages of energy flows. This allows them to see more clearly who they truly are: spiritual beings having a human experience. It allows them to connect more deeply to their highest truth and to bring the human aspect more and more in alignment with the spiritual being. 

In 1998 I moved from Holland to the United States and married my wife Jeanne Michaels. Since then we work together both in our studies and in the application of the results to support people on their path. We also do a lot of energy work at different places on Earth. In this way we contribute to both personal and planetary transformation. Our work has guided us to become the founders of The Center of Personal and Planetary Transformation. 

To work at Angel Valley is the fulfillment of a dream. Here I can combine research and working with people in all the forms that excite me, sharing my knowledge and experience in a fulfilling way. The energies are stimulating and unique both for those who work there and for those who visit or stay for a while.
