Angel Valley is located 6.5 miles from West Sedona,
9 miles from Cottonwood.
We are about 125 miles north of Phoenix, a 2-hour drive,
35 miles southwest of Flagstaff, an hour and 15-minute drive.

• Some guests drive their own car.
• Most guests fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and rent a car. This option provides the freedom to come and go as it suits you, upon arrival, upon departure and during your stay. For most people this is the most convenient and the fastest way to reach Angel Valley.
• Those who do not want to drive can take a shuttle from the airport to Angel Valley.
  We work with two companies that bring you to Angel Valley and pick you up upon departure.
• You can travel with Ace Xpress. They combine travellers to fit their schedule. They drop off our guests as the last ones, and pick them up as the first. This can make the journey from Phoenix to Angel Valley considerably longer. For more details and reservation, please, visit the airport shuttle page.
• You can also make reservations with Red Rock Transportation. Their service is more personalized, and they have a different price structure. Coordination for multiple passengers is worth the effort.

• Other shuttle companies have a drop off and pick up in town, from where you need to take a taxi. We do not recommend this option.
• Very few guests fly into Flagstaff Pulliam Airport. There is a Flagstaff-Sedona shuttle that delivers you at Angel Valley. Once a day there is public transportation to Sedona. The other options are a taxi or a rental car. For more details and reservation, please, visit the airport shuttle page.
• Sedona currently offers no public transportation services.

Arrival by car

We have been working for years to get roadway signs, which would make it so much easier to find the right exit. We are close, but not quite yet. But now, there is this nice gadget on your smart phone that can be used. Download one of the QR readers and you will be able to open our directions page in seconds.

Coming from Phoenix via Cottonwood:

This is the shorter route. Take I-17 North as far as Exit 287. Turn left, go over the Freeway onto Hwy 260 that leads to Cottonwood. At the traffic light turn right onto St Rte 89A and drive 9 miles. After the exit for Page Springs Road, the Scenic View and past Mile Marker #364, turn right onto Forest Service Road 89B, indicated by a small brown Forest Service sign. Coming from Phoenix via Sedona:

This is the more scenic route, and takes you through beautiful Sedona, but it takes at least 45-60 minutes longer to get to Angel Valley. Take I-17 North as far as Exit 298. Follow Hwy 179 leading into Sedona. At the roundabout by the Hyatt, turn left onto St Rte 89A. Follow 89A for 9 miles through West Sedona. At Mile Marker #365, get into the left lane. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 89B, indicated by a small brown Forest Service sign. (If you see the Page Springs exit you know you are too far). Coming from Flagstaff:

The most scenic route is Oak Creek Canyon, Hwy 89A. (An alternative is to take I-17 South as far as Exit 298 or 287 and follow above instructions.) From the junction with Hwy 179, continue St Rte 89A for 9 miles through West Sedona. At Mile Marker #365, get into the left lane. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 89B, indicated by a small brown Forest Service sign. (If you see the Page Springs exit you know you are too far). Once You have Arrived on 89B:

Forest Service Road 89B is a well-maintained dirt road. Follow this road for about 2 miles and Angel Valley will appear on your left. Follow the Angel Valley sign and drive through the gate. Go across the bridge to where the road then “Y’s”. The main Parking is on the left. To reach the Office stay to the right and follow the “Office” signs. You will see a building on your left. Please, park your car and you will find our Guest Service staff members welcoming you.
